Encap Drug Delivery have hosted their first Oral Drug Delivery meeting in Edinburgh.  40 delegates attended the meeting from over 20 pharmaceutical companies based in France, Austria, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Israel and the United Kingdom.  The meeting was arranged to give attendees the opportunity to hear presentations from leading academic and industrial experts covering a number of topics of interest to those involved in oral drug product development.

The programme for the meeting was as follows:

Professor Peter York, Professor of Physical Pharmaceutics, Bradford University "Nanoparticle Technologies for oral delivery"

Dr Ross Blundell, Head of R&D Operations, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Sanofi-Aventis R&D, Montpellier "The use of lipid and semi-solid oral formulations in clinical development"

Professor Howard Stevens, Chairman, Bio-Images Research "Scintigraphic imaging in oral drug product development"
